Job Responsibilities:

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting in the administering of benefit programs with an emphasis on the health and welfare plans for over 6500 benefit eligible employees. Performing a variety of tasks, this position requires someone to be detail oriented and data driven. Serving as the internal liaison between employee(s), provider(s) and the insurance carrier this position works to resolve benefit related issues, ensure positive employee relations and work towards effective utilization of benefit programs. In addition, this position will perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Capacity to work well with all levels of management and support staff
  • Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • 1-2 years of progressive administrative experience
  • Critical thinker with desire to improve efficiency
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion
