Job Description: As a member of the Clinic’s leadership team, the Healthcare Designer works closely with clinical and administrative team members, as well as students employed as Undergraduate Academic Assistants (UAA) at the Clinic. Job Responsibilities: Use of health technology for remote patient monitoring Video conferencing software and virtual patient support tools Appointment confirmation process both online and by phone Prepare requirements documents and liaise with technology vendors to optimize service model efficiency and effectiveness. Communication processes before, during and after a care appointment Make direct enhancements to existing software systems, when possible and required. Access to health information systems – local, regional and provincial Appointment reminders Website information flow and content improvement Advise Clinic Leadership and other team members on process changes, new technologies methods of communication to support patient care and impacts on Clinic operations. Lead and take ownership of strategic multidisciplinary projects, research new service models, gather feedback from multiple stakeholders, identify risks and prepare cohesive, well thought out project plans to enhance pharmacist-led clinical services. Job Requirements: Familiarity with data collection, journey mapping, service blueprint and design software tools. Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of efficiency and accuracy and attention to detail. Experience, or willingness to be trained in equity, diversity, inclusion and culturally safe healthcare practices. Ability to exercise good judgment, work under pressure, prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate tact and respect. Excellent problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of coding language and human computer interaction methods (HCI) would be an asset. Demonstrated ability to think critically, analytically and respond in a broad range of activities with a high level of independence. Previous work experience or graduate training in health informatics or related discipline. Ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to produce meaningful insights that drive service outcomes. A sound understanding of design thinking process and methodologies such as user research and usability testing. High motivation, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Qualification & Experience: Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as user experience design, healthcare system design, cognitive systems, computer science, psychology or business. Minimum of three years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
