As a Custom Security Sales Professional, you will provide customized security solutions to our small and medium business customers across Canada. Your goal will be to increase TELUS’ presence, focusing on customized security solutions aligned to our client’s needs. You will ensure our customers have access to the latest security solutions, industry trends, and most importantly secure facilities for their employees, customers and assets. Your responsibilities will be broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities, requiring rapid shifts in priorities. Job Responsibilities:
- Actively prospect for potential business & consumer customers
- Build trust, loyalty and solid long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Use your effective negotiation ability & enter into contractual agreements in accordance with TELUS’ policy & procedures
- Own your client relationships, including planning and service delivery
- Positively represent TELUS values at work and in the community
- Deliver the right solution for your clients’ evolving requirements with prompt and efficient service
- Provide accurate and timely forecasts, funnel hygiene, target/objective updates to deliver on all territory plans and team annual targets
- Promote and sell Smart Security & Automation services over the phone and in person
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and leading the account team to drive real and long-standing business value
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated success handling both short and long-term selling cycles while effectively and consistently applying a multi-step selling process/methodology
- Skill at selecting and qualifying profitable opportunities is second to none
- Proven ability to hunt, prospect, and search for new business in a competitive market while consistently achieving quotas
- Natural ability to think and act strategically while applying formal sales methodologies with your clients
- Understanding of current and prospective customers’ security automation needs and issues, and ability to conduct “needs analysis” for clients
- Excellent communication skills and a knack to adapt to virtual type of sales
- Aptitude for selling and effectively managing and fostering positive relationships
- Bring an entrepreneurial spirit, to search and source new clients to achieve and deliver on growth and profitability targets by cold calling, door knocking, networking and local events
- Strong sensitivity to customer needs and situations, analytical ability in discerning priority and non-priority issues, making decisions and can be persuasive in negotiating mutually satisfying resolutions
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical recommendations, solutions, and proposals to meet customer requirements
