Job Description: Want to work with and be responsible for maintaining the biggest mining equipment as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Suncor? If you have your off-road certification and are passionate about safety, maintaining heavy equipment, building positive relationships and working within a very dynamic team environment, then this role is definitely for you! You will use your technical knowledge and strong understanding of equipment maintenance to support our mine maintenance team in Fort McMurray, by safely maintaining our heavy equipment fleet to ensure optimum reliability and availability of the assets. Job Responsibilities: Participate in post-event failure analysis and root cause discussions to develop solutions Remove and replace major components (engines, transmissions, wheel motors, etc.) Execute all planned maintenance inspections and repairs on all types of heavy and auxiliary equipment Ensure that preventative maintenance guidelines are adhered to and maintain complete and accurate records for the technical and preventative aspects of this position Build practices and procedures for repairs and implement approved modifications for the heavy equipment and auxiliary fleet Safely perform maintenance on and operate company provided equipment Run maintenance repairs on our equipment, including troubleshooting hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electronics Job Requirements: Prior experience with SAP Experience with Caterpillar (CAT) auxiliary equipment, Komatsu haul trucks, Komatsu and Hitachi hydraulic shovels and/or CAT7495 & P&H 4100 cable shovels The proven ability to provide personal and technical mentorship to other team members by building strong, positive relationships A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) A valid Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Off Road) or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic/Technician (Off Road) Certificate; attach your Journeyperson or red seal tickets with your application to be considered Superior mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Proficient with computers to retrieve data for equipment maintenance Strong work ethic, motivation and initiative and you can make decisions with integrity in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value Possess a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record Exceptional safety mindset and a strong dedication to continuous improvement within safe work practices, procedures, and standards to ensure safe and reliable work execution; you do not take or tolerate shortcuts and if the procedure is incorrect, you fix it Alignment with our values safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity Job Details: Company: Suncor Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Fort McMurray, AB, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careerstrivia.net
