Job Description:

Do you enjoy leading others and defining success for a large Mobile Crane Service team? We’re seeking a Crane Superintendent who is passionate about demonstrating and modeling purposeful and strategic leadership while building value!

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee effective incident investigations, and verify implementation of corrective actions to prevent re-occurrences
• Understand, monitor, and communicate performance, operational, and key business measures
• Maintain a visible presence in the field to cultivate employee and contractor engagement, communications, and assess work process effectiveness
• Translate service demand, business partner priorities, and continuous improvement initiatives to develop the crane workforce plan
• Foster excellent customer relationships with Suncor Operations and Maintenance teams
• Foster a heathy work environment for staff, union, and contract workers
• Maintain a detailed understanding of Mobile Crane Services including regulations, safety codes, suppliers, and labor market intelligence
• Provide effective leadership, coaching, and supervision of staff to foster an engaged workforce

Job Requirements:

• 10 or more years of experience with crane operations or maintenance in an industrial setting
• Business Acumen
• The ability to manage multiple commercial initiatives through effective organization, time management problem solving and prioritization skills
• Valid Alberta Journeyperson Crane Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Crane Certificate
• This position is safety sensitive
• Knowledgeable in projects and turnaround startups and shutdowns
• Critical Lift Director Training
• Experience leading a unionized workforce

• 5 or more years of front-line leadership experience
• You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
