Job Responsibilities:

- Enter data into the Cority database and ensure all information is entered accurately
- Engage in multiple projects in different operating areas within Industrial Hygiene
- Current enrolment in a formal co-op or internship program in 3rd or 4th year Occupational Health and Safety (Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Occupational Health, etc.) or Sciences (Toxicology, Chemical or Environmental Engineering with previous exposure to health and safety regulations/codes or standards) at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to fulltime studies after the work term (attach your transcripts with your application)
- Knowledge in Safety/Industrial Hygiene hazard recognition, evaluation, and control principles; engineering fundamentals; management; inspection and audit processes; measurement techniques
- Experience working in a similar industrial hygiene support capacity in an industrial facility
- A continuous improvement mindset and are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, process and hazards in the workplace
- A zero-tolerance for shortcuts, and if the procedure is incorrect, you fix it
- You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- A valid class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Maintain Industrial Hygiene equipment per the Manufacturer instructions and Base Plant Oil Sands practices.
- Perform field inspections, hazard identification, and site visits to various areas
- Assist with the development of documentation written programs, safe work instructions,
- A self-starter mind-set, capable of taking initiative
- Analyze data in the Cority database and perform statistical analysis
