We are looking for a strong communicator to responsible for executing the D&IT (Digital and Information Technology) Change Management process! In this role, you will ensure Requests for Change (RFCs) are accurate, complete, and approved in a manner that manages risk to our IT environment appropriately. You will also take responsibility for the facilitation of the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and may lead post-mortem investigations into failed changes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring required approvals are received prior to approval and execution of the change
  • Measure and report against change Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to determine performance of the process and to indicate success and failure rate of changes
  • Gather requirements for tool component enhancements that support Change Management processes such as ServiceNow access, change matrices and approver groups, as well as risk calculators through regular reviews and updates
  • Ensure failed changes are identified to appropriate parties and that results are captured through either the Post Implementation Review (PIR) or Major Outage review process
  • Ensuring all submitted RFCs include technical supporting documentation based on the nature of the change
  • Provide governance of the companies RFC approval process by
  • Coordinate the change advisory board (CAB) meetings between the company, vendors, and change requestors to ensure technical and business representatives provide input to changes regarding risk and cross application / environment impacts
  • Ensuring notifications are distributed to all relevant stakeholders prior to the execution of the change
  • Assists with Knowledge Management to help provide additional coverage with the IPC team
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the change process and recommending process improvements
  • Manage RFCs from receipt through to closure, including the review of all RFCs
  • Providing a consistent approach to the assessment of risk, business continuity, impact, resource requirements and scheduling

Job Requirements:

  • Two years of IT change management experience
  • Strong practical knowledge of ITIL and ITSM best practices
  • Experience with ServiceNow including fluency with ServiceNow reporting
  • Five years of IT operations experience

  • ITIL v3 2011 or ITIL 4 Foundations certification
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • ITIL v3 2011 or ITIL 4 Intermediate course certification in Service Transition or Release, Control and Validation
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain positive business relationships
  • Experience managing vendor partnerships

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
