Job Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with both our internal and external customers (dispatch, colleagues, managers)
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Work various hours (morning, afternoon, or overnight) as required
- Manual usage and handling of pump truck
- Comply with all Corporate Policies and Procedures
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Tail gate experience is an asset
- Responsible for transporting customer freight in an effective and efficient manner
- Shunt duties as assigned
- Ability to solve problems as they arise while on the road
- Work in a safe manner at all times
Job Requirements:
- Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate with required
- Problem solving
- Strong customer service skills
- Clean Driver’s abstract (please upload a current copy with your application)
- Valid Driver’s Licence: Class 1A for 3+ years
- Must be able to handle LTL freight and skids
- Must successfully pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods courses
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 bs.
- Proper scan and load techniques
- Ability to read maps, good sense of geographical direction
- Strong organizational skills
- Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
- Must successfully pass written and road tests
- Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of customer focus, communication, collaboration, trust, and self-development
