Purolator Careers – Full Stack Web Developer

Job Description:

The Full Stack Web Developer will be part of the Web Solutions team. They will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Purolator’s web properties along with select web applications. Working directly with a broad range of stakeholders across the business they will support the end to end content publishing, event tracking and goal measurement process. They will be part of the web application development and deployment team both frontend and backend, making updates and enhancements that impact millions of users. This role also supports UX/UI design and implementation across all web solutions properties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with webpage stakeholders and owners to ideate design by building mockups and content recommendations based on data analytics
• Support the development both frontend and backend for features/updates to Purolator web applications (Tracker, Locator, etc.)
• Build and distribute reports/dashboards on web property goals, attribution and KPI metrics to create visibility for cross functional stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations and support in implementation of enhancements to the devops process, rapid testing and development and agile workflows.
• Manage web tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager while providing recommendations on new and existing implementations.
• Using Drupal and WordPress CMS to create, update and publish new content pages on multiple Purolator web properties.
• Improve existing CMS capabilities through component development, theme editing and module/plugin utilization.

Job Requirements:

• Past experience with different SDLC processes. Leveraging tools such as Jira, Git, development automation and build processes (Gulp, Jenkins)
• Strong knowledge and experience in CMS content publishing, theming, modular/plugin implementations and component development. (Drupal, WordPress)
• 1-2 years of experience in a professional Web Development role
• History of utilizing web frameworks (Bootstrap) and libraries to speed up development
• Experience implementing and monitoring with web analytics reporting and tracking (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio).
• Knowledge and understanding of backend infrastructure architecture systems that support web hosting (DNS, CDN, WAP, caching layers, load balancers, web servers)
• Light experience with developing web based applications (Angular, React)
• Basic knowledge of Rest API development and components with experience in utilizing API endpoints in past projects
• Background in developing web elements with server side scripting (PHP)
• Highly proficient in standard web development languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• Strong communication, time management and problem solving skills.
