Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the front-end development of Nintendo’s consumer websites and shared component libraries.
- Leads code reviews and contributes to the underlying code for Nintendo’s consumer websites and shared component libraries.
- Researches, evaluates and analyzes technical and design requirements.
- Prepares and presents technical documentation regarding new website features, design system components, and development tools.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of development tools, trends, and technologies. Evangelizes new technologies and methods of development with the broader technical organization.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with building single page websites is a huge plus
- Experience building and maintaining a design system or shared component library on a large-scale production website
- Strong understanding of site performance and web accessibility
- Experience in interaction design, usability, and information architecture is a plus
- Ability to rapidly prototype sites and components is required
- At least two years of leading technical projects and/or technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing
- Four to Six years of experience in Front-end focused technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript (ECMAScript 6)
- Experience working with enterprise-level content management systems such as AEM, Magnolia, or Contentful
- In-depth knowledge and experience with standard design software including Sketch, PhotoShop and Illustrator
- Experience with web libraries and frameworks such as LitElement (Web Components), React, or Angular
- Experience with Javascript testing frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, or Mocha
- Experience working with GraphQL and RESTful APIs
