Job Description:
This is a temporary promotion not to exceed 1 year, and can be extended up to 5 years.
This temporary promotion may be made permanent without further competition.
Salary range posted is base salary, locality pay will be added based on the location negotiated
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a variety of special projects and analytical assignments and serves as a senior staff assistant for accomplishment of high-level administrative matters.
- Develops and coordinates major events, meetings, and conferences sponsored by Regional Director’s office.
- Assist Regional Director’s office in providing responses to information requests from the parks, WASO, Congressional delegation members and partners.
- Assignments may include analyzing the needs of internal and external constituents, researching sensitive topics and developing briefing statements, controlled correspondence and other written materials.
- Supervises and provides direction to the administrative employees in the Regional Office.
Job Requirements:
- Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service). Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties.
- Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
- Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for male.
