FedEx Warehouse Jobs – Accountant

Job Description:

The Accountant will be responsible for fixed asset accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and the preparation and posting of general ledger journal entries as part of the monthly close process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable functions, vendor maintenance and follow-up working directly with corporate accounts payable department.
• Performs analyses regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, operational statistics, cost trends, and revenue trends
• Participates in month-end closing process across sites and customers- prepares monthly journal entries and adjustments, including supporting documentation.
• Maintains the fixed asset sub-ledger and reconciles the general ledger to the sub-ledger.
• Review accounts receivable aging and collection reports for accounts with past due balances.
• Works on special projects, prepares adhoc analyses, and audit requests as required.
• Prepares various schedules and ad hoc reports related to capital spend.
• Setup and maintain customer accounts, including customer sales tax certificates, and credit reports.
• Prepares customer invoices and billing requirements as necessary.
• Support sites procurement process working directly with corporate procurement department.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Ability to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to read, write and interpret information.

Qualification & Experience:

• Strong team player.
• Microsoft Office, including an advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with ORACLE ERP software is a plus.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred and 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Customer service driven.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
