Job Description:
easyJet is incurring increasing levels of disruption and compensation payments due to aircraft technical events and has an ambition to improve the cabin appearance in order to deliver the best costumer experience. Availability of inventory at the right time, in the right place is critical to the success of our operation, and this position has been created to assist the Inventory Optimisation Lead and the Supply chain team to drive systematic improvements to the inventory stock model and its associated processes. This is an exciting new role in the growing easyJet’s inventory management team and will assist in developing new processes and systems to deliver world class aircraft spares support to the operation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Focal point in engineering and maintenance for the management of the station parts Alert (SPA) and for the availability of parts to the maintenance network
- Implement processes that analyse all aircraft out of service due to non-availability of parts and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Implement systems that pre-plan for all types of material demand, including in-service technical findings, heavy maintenance, light base maintenance, defect findings and component changes
- Analyse the stock levels owned by easyJet and recommend purchasing of additional assets
- Participate in weekly and monthly internal review meetings to represent Supply Chain & the inventory team
- Ensuring that easyJet achieves the optimum balance of inventory availability and investment whilst delivering maximum levels of on time performance and fleet dispatch availability
- Continually identify surplus inventory and work with colleagues and partner companies to dispose of and remarket this inventory
- Ensure the network stock model is adjusted to support the material supply for new aircraft
- Review aircraft modifications and adjust inventory levels accordingly
- Liaise with Component Engineering to regularly change the Inventory Status depending on changes within the Fleet Technical team.
- Review the cabin maintenance programmes and ensure material availability to the enhanced cabin programme
- Become part of the easyJet analyst community working on our brand new Analytical platform
- The IA is expected to be eager to continuously improve its analytical skills, refining his knowledge and learning new software/language codes as the tools used by the company evolves
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working in Aviation / Engineering desirable but not essential – must have a passion for learning about aviation and inventory management
- Degree level or equivalent in statistics, supply chain or engineering
- Previous experience in an analytical function, ideally supply chain
- Analytical and highly numerate, capable of translating big dataset into meaningful insights
- Excellent organisation and administration skills
- Required advanced knowledge of MS Excel & MS office package (PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience with one or more coding language or data analysis tool (e.g. SQL, VBA, PowerBi, Tableau, etc.) to extract, manipulate and summarise data from large databases.
- Proven communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter and results driven, able to plan own work and prioritise deliverables in line with business priorities
