Job Description:
As a Social Media Specialist at CPA Canada, you are a skilled, digital-first native. As part of the social media team, you will execute the social media strategy and social media tactics of brand and product marketing campaigns. You will manage the day-to-day content creation process for social media (copywriting, media production, translation, etc.), including generating, editing, publishing and sharing daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action. You are also responsible for creating and implementing highly targeted ads on social media that support each campaign’s objectives in alignment with the overarching strategy. You will continuously monitor and manage social media channels, supporting daily building a vibrant online community. You will also be responding to and engaging with queries and comments from the community in alignment with CPA Canada messaging.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Manage the content creation process (copywriting, media production, translation) for social media campaigns
- Ensure that all social media content adheres to CPA Canada’s brand and voice guidelines
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content
- Maintain editorial calendars and syndication schedules
- Conduct social media research, build influencer lists
- Generate, edit, test and execute paid social content (original text, images, video or HTML) that supports brand and product marketing campaigns
- Conduct audience targeting research for each platform, ensuring ads are targeted to reach optimum performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to recommend practical approaches to paid social content which support campaign objectives
Job Requirements:
- Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist with 3+ years of experience
- Expertise in best practice approaches to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube advertising
- Strong team-player who will work collaboratively with partners and teams across the organization
- Experience in producing successful brand and product social media campaigns
- Strong project management or organizational skills
- Analytical orientation resulting in data-driven insights
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels
- Degree/Certificate in Marketing, PR/Communications or Journalism or related discipline
- Fluency in English and French is beneficial
- Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, etc.) and how they can be deployed
