Citi Summer Internship – Funding and Liquidity Trading

Job Description:

The central funding and Liquidity desk is a front-office unit within the Markets and Securities Services (MSS) group which provides in-business leadership on Collateral and liquidity efficiency. The team’s role is to solve complex problems, concentrating on Collateral and liquidity management and optimisation opportunities in MSS, and the larger Institutional Clients Group franchise.

Job Responsibilities:

• The individual will have to make economic and risk decisions for the Desk and provide pricing adjustments/curves to other markets businesses
• Project Management: Management of a range of projects, working with a number of internal stakeholders across Sales, Trading, Operations, Technology, Treasury and Business Management
• The individual will be expected to keep up to date with current and future Regulatory changes with a view to identifying future business opportunities
• Responsible for developing desk analytical tools and optimisation infrastructure
  Working with other groups to ensure optimisation results in correct transfer pricing across businesses
• Participate in committee that discusses all CSA amendments/new approvals
• The individual will facilitate and participate in client meetings as required by the franchise

Job Requirements:

• Strong quantitative skills, to degree level in a related discipline with ability to pick up new concepts with strong communication & organization skills
• Able to demonstrate drive and a track record of results delivery
• Detailed knowledge of securities markets / trading experience and good derivatives understanding is a significant benefit
• Familiarity with large scale data and querying ability is preferred
• Strong work ethic essential
• Strong excel + VBA/other programming skills & experience is a plus
• FCA registered preferred
• Must be highly motivated, be an independent thinker and able to think outside the box
• Ability to perform in team environment and network across businesses. Effective partnership and collaboration is key for success in this role
