Job Description:
CIBC Fusion is responsible for protecting our clients and our bank by holistically combatting financial crime threats which cross the Corporate Security, Information Security and Fraud domains. The integration and analysis of cross-pillar intelligence and data combined with unified collaboration among key stakeholders enables Fusion to develop a more accurate picture of threats and coordinate protective actions to mitigate threats, reduce losses and better enable our client’s ambitions to become a reality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and Support- Collaborate with key stakeholders across pillars as part of a coordinated intelligence cycle, applying intelligence best practices and appropriate collection and analysis techniques. Collaboratively and independently conduct research to gather, validate and organize CIBC information; Support complex investigations as an intelligence practitioner and subject matter expert in banking procedures, products and controls; Provide support to Fusion leadership, team members and peers as required;
- Identify, Assess and Action Threats and Intelligence- Assess the quality, relevance and validity of information gathered in relation to threats facing CIBC; Complete in-depth analysis that captures key analytical insights and document findings in concise Fusion Intelligence products meeting intelligence-consumer needs; Identify potential issues that pose risk to CIBC; take action and contribute to problem and event management to resolve as quickly and efficiently as possible;
- Maintain the Fusion Environment- Create, maintain, update and share Fusion Intelligence dashboard and products, as directed; Undertake special projects with internal and external stakeholders, as assigned/required.
Job Requirement:
- Can demonstrate experience in: security/intelligence/risk related experience. Financial sector experience preferred. Developed knowledge of Bank mainframe applications/systems, and developed working knowledge of database principles and applications. Information Security, Fraud, and Corporate Security experience preferred. Developed knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of at least one area sufficient to perform in-depth analysis; Includes Security Operations Centre (SOC), Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Investigation, Malware Analysis, Commercial and Client Fraud, Crime Prevention, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Experience in applying an appropriate level of discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
- You understand that success is in the details. Ability to succinctly write Daily Highlights, Operational Briefs, and Strategic Intelligence products.
- Ability to adjust writing style to different audiences (e.g. executive vs. technical). Work collaboratively with team members and internal and external partners. Sufficient to schedule, organize and carry out work assignments according to established work plans, independently adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities; Ability to contribute to multiple projects and/or initiatives simultaneously and under deadlines; including those of a high profile or priority
