Job Description:

The Workforce Staffing (WFS) Team is looking for a Workforce Engagement Specialist. Workforce Engagement Specialists own the development and execution of local and regional community engagement strategies and operationalize plans to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These KPI’s are tied to increasing the hourly entry-level talent pipeline, reducing the need for paid advertising and recruiting space, and the dissemination of engagement activity information and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the analyses of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of Community Workforce Engagement activity performance via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Supports the establishment and maintenance of long-term relationships with centers-of-influence and select community organizations
  • Builds and fosters community engagement relationships that demonstrate return on investment
  • Based upon research and data, identifies and supports the team/business to develop scalable strategies that yield diverse candidates and hourly talent
  • Owns training, development, team culture and activity related to Community Workforce Engagement for Regional Staffing Teams
  • Leads and drives projects of increasing scale and complexity, and manages programs through to completion
  • Must be able to travel as needed to conduct events in various locations within your designated assigned geographical area. Local travel up to 75% required – National travel up to 10%
  • Gains and maintains awareness of labor markets and their impact on Amazon’s near and long-term hourly staffing needs
  • Coordinates activity related to large scale community events such as conferences and job fairs
  • Creates a plan, based upon data, for a team/business and develops scalable strategies that capture and build a talent pool at the lowest cost per hire.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to build long-term partnerships
  • Partners with internal stakeholders, such as recruiting, marketing and staffing management teams; public policy teams (state and local); public relations teams; local operations and HR teams; and finance and procurement teams, to ensure alignment

Job Requirements:

  • Experience managing and prioritizing deliverables, projects and relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, non-profit, recruiting, program management, consulting or high-volume workforce development
  • Cross-functional project management experience
  • Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking key performance metrics including return on investment
  • Master’s degree or MBA
