Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to build Information Architecture (IA) solution designs in the Group Finance domain. It is primarily focussed on the ‘Making Finance Brilliant’ transformation programme which has the objective of delivering a SAP-based platform for Group Finance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable for assuring designs are compliant with objectives of our data strategy
• Work within budget & timelines set by the programme
• Responsible for the platform approach to Information Architecture
• This role will be expected to identify new opportunities through various channels such as the vendor marketplace and research
• Work through the resolution within time and resource constraints within this area and has end to end responsibility of that solution
• This role will be responsible for stakeholder management of the CFU (Directors, Senior Product Manager), CTIO Leads, Project or Portfolio
• Directors for some/or all information architecture themes
• Design decisions based on how multiple components can work together to fulfil solution requirements
• This role would decide on the data solutions designs for the Group Finance Transformation (MFB)
• Will set out deliverables and plan accordingly
• Accountable for understanding how our services & capabilities in the domain are going to evolve to ensure we keep pace with emerging technical and organisational changes
• Identify the root cause of any data issues and then decide on how to resolve

Job Requirements:

• Advanced IA skills including good understanding of all IA-related disciplines and how they relate to each other in the enterprise (eg Data modelling, DQ lifecycle, metadata management, Data Privacy & Information protection, information governance & Master data management)
• Extensive, enterprise-scale IA experience of a strategic transformation in the Finance domain
• Experience of working with different Data Modelling layers Conceptual, Logical, Canonical and their relationships
• Knowledge and Understanding of SAP and SAP Data Structures. Likely to have excellent knowledge of key finance/accounting entities eg Chart of Accounts, Cost Centre, Product, Journals etc
• Ability to Develop Logical and Physical Data Models using Erwin or similar tool
