Job Description:

The Manager, Business Intelligence is accountable to create and manage a dynamic, multi-level reporting framework in support of the P&C US Commercial Bank. This role will utilize extensive and specialized data which will inform both strategic and tactical decisions and ensure the overall P&C US Commercial sales, portfolio and risk management operations are efficiently managed and monitored. The Manager, Business Intelligence and Reporting will amalgamate information, develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, analyze and identify key trends for the Commercial Bank Leadership team, and create analytical models to support the sales & portfolio management teams. . Strong communication skills are also required to work with key business leaders to discuss key trends, identify and track priorities and key opportunities, and and monitor business performance. The Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for the acquisition, integrity and control of all requisite data ensuring accurate, high quality and timely delivery of information required to the business. The role requires strong communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external data providers, ensuring quality control, timely delivery, and integration into dashboards. This role will identify conflicting data issues and troubleshoot or propose resolutions. As new data reporting & analytics and reporting requirements emerge, the Manager will research potential sources of data applicable to the business, recommend appropriate solutions and build a comprehensive end state.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective relationship with internal partners, external suppliers and lending analytics teams
  • Recommend and develop dashboards using enterprise data to implement user friendly delivery of key data and analytics to LOB stakeholders
  • Develop business and system specifications relating to performance monitoring, dashboard feeds and other MIS initiatives
  • In collaboration with members of key P&C Commercial groups, ensure that key reporting and dashboards are provided in a timely and accurate basis, including:
  • Participate in the development of new performance measures. Responsible for providing analysis on key performance measures and drivers to Leadership Team. Lead and champion the ongoing refinement of performance measurement metrics and techniques to continuously improve measurement of the business
  • Accountable for the production of regular monthly reports including: monthly performance highlights, sales and portfolio management KPIs and management trend reporting.
  • Develop and maintain an effective infrastructure required to supply relevant & timely MIS in line with business requirements
  • Act as the subject matter expert on the development and management of P&C Commercial data and provide guidance to respond to the evolving needs of the business.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to determine the strategic direction and goals of the analytics & reporting infrastructure and provide recommendations on long term requirements

Qualification & Experience:

  • University degree in math, engineering, finance, statistics, or business-related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a related role within the financial services industry with a focus on data management and predictive analytics
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, Python, and data visualization (Power BI)
  • Good knowledge of data governance and metric standardization methodologies
  • Familiar with Project Management methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of planning, coordinating, multi-tasking, and analysis
