Job Description:

The Martech Manager will work to develop and promote the technical capability of the digital marketing team across all channels and markets. The role will involve supporting the team’s technical requirements, at the same time driving the innovation of how ASOS’ products and propositions are integrated with our partners and affiliates across the globe. The candidate needs to have a good knowledge of how digital marketing systems interact across channels and vendors. The role sits across all markets. This role will not suit someone who cannot thrive in a fast-paced, complex and hard-working environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Experience in complex tag management implementations and troubleshooting data collection scenarios using advanced Javascript skills
  • Offering support across the digital marketing team by acting as the first point of contact for all tag management implementations, testing and auditing. Whilst also working with team members to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Procurement of new marketing technology solutions
  • Building and maintaining a backlog of open requirements, and conveying the status of the backlog to stakeholders within the business.
  • Constantly monitor performance & run ad hoc analysis to drive innovation and change in the way that ASOS works with digital partners to allow these marketing channels to deliver profitability for the business.
  • Become an expert in digital marketing data collection, data onboarding and the technical underpinnings of the ad tech industry
  • Liaise directly with third party providers (e.g. social networks, search engines, affiliate networks…) for anything related to partner integrations and their future development

Job Requirements:

  • The ability to manage projects & ensure they are delivered to deadlines, despite limited time or resources
  • Able to build strong collaborative internal and external relationships; excellent communication and commercials skills
  • A data driven approach with excellent analytical skills, strong Excel user
  • Familiar with marketing technologies for online retailers
  • Background with a SaaS or tech company
  • Flexible in adapting work to fast-changing priorities
  • Experience writing and debugging JavaScript code
  • Knowledge and comprehension of all marketing channels

Qualification & Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years within a digital marketing channel in a technical role
  • You have experience writing JavaScript and familiarity with at least one of the following: jQuery/HTML/ /API/SQL
  • Comprehension of online advertising tools (Google Ads/Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager/Big Query API/Signal/Simon Data/AppsFlyer)
  • Knowledge of the full digital marketing landscape, and interactions between channels and vendors is a strong plus
  • Develop clear and compelling roadmaps and help promote proposed strategies for new products and product extensions
  • Experience in sizing the financial impact of projects and prioritising accordingly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experienc
