Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and committed Workforce Staffing (WFS) Manager primarily responsible for leading country wide staffing/high volume hiring events for our Customer Fulfillment teams. The WFS Manager for Australia will be responsible for ensuring that our candidates and stakeholders experience the highest level of Customer Obsession. In this high volume hiring space, you will manage the delivery of Associate labor through direct sourcing channels, vendor suppliers, daily vendor management and engagement initiatives. Further, this role requires owning the tactical development and delivery of community engagement plans, supporting labor demand planning with Finance and Supply Chain Teams for multiple sites across the node.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Previous working knowledge of Lean techniques, such as Kaizen or Six Sigma methodologies,
  • Demonstrable track record of taking Ownership: you’ve delivered projects within scope, according to agreed upon time-frames, to budget,
  • You’ve previously gained significant experience of leading a team in a fast-paced and process-driven Operations or Logistics environment,
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Logistics, Operations or a related field,
  • You possess sound business judgement, with a track record of successfully delivering quantifiable results,
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities in fast-paced environment,
  • You’re an excellent communicator with fluent English (both verbal and written); you’re also able to liaise confidently with varying levels of seniority in a large organisation.
  • You’re willing and able to work flexible shifts, including night-time, out of hours, and weekend shifts.
  • You possess sound business acumen and judgement, with top notch Excel and data analysis skills,
  • A troubleshooting approach: you’re able to manage information, identify any root causes of potential obstacles and then extract and manipulate any data as may be necessary,

Job Requirements:

  • Use multiple channels in sourcing and keep current on recruiting sourcing trends (relevant to HVH) both in sourcing directly and via third party suppliers
  • Analyze and implement process improvements, identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and opportunities for efficiency
  • Is willing to learn and master new challenges, proven by a strong background in problem solving. Has strong analytical capacity to examine and find solutions to a variety of operational challenges.
  • Interpret sourcing data to suggest viability of sourcing strategy and improvements needed.
  • Deliver specific HVH projects as required
  • Proficient in HR and Recruitment, with an impressive track record for achieving results in a similar fast-paced logistics, distribution, manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Able to determine the hiring strategy, considering local market conditions and cost per hire.
  • Has solid experience in people management, excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working with internal and external clients.
  • 5 – 8 years of relevant work experience in WFS
  • Has excellent business judgment, is able to step back and consider the long-term vision for the growth of the department. Is ingenious, able to handle ambiguity and ready to get involved if necessary.
  • Is willing to work flexibly and to spend the time needed to complete the job. Is ready to move if necessary.
  • Has extensive expertise in project management and change management.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Possess an ideally qualified degree in HR or a discipline related to the supply chain, logistics or manufacturing
  • Previous recruiting experience especially high volume hiring, both within direct hiring and outsourcing capacities.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus which provides for an excellent candidate experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately when under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Experience with MS Word and Excel
