At Amazon Web Services (AWS) we are changing the future of IT. The Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) role is obsessed with supporting and accelerating our customers’ cloud journeys, to drive business value and citizen outcomes. You will work across AWS teams and apply your leadership and technical program management expertise to serve some of the most important public sector agencies in Australia and New Zealand. You will play a key role in the account team, partnering with AWS sales, professional services, and AWS service teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud solutions (spanning technology, people, and process) with robust delivery plans.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will interface with customer and AWS leadership, driving collaboration between the other core account groups (Sales, Support, Solutions Architecture and Professional Services), product/engineering teams, and customer teams, planning and supporting major workload migrations.
  • You will be a single point of contact to your customer and internal stakeholders on the progress of all the activities related to your customer. You will also need to assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, balance trade-offs, and encourage risk-tasking to maximize business value.
  • You will translate strategic initiatives into executable actions, working backwards from our customers key milestones.
  • Execution of education plans, roadmap to business outcome alignments, Executive Briefing Sessions, and go-live events and transitions are a few items owned by the CSM that are critical to the success of our customer’s cloud journey.

Job Requirements:

  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills.
  • A strong delivery and change management background, experience in financial industry regulations and public sector organizations.
  • A proven track record of being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects.
  • The ability to credibly coordinate between project teams and customers to meet unique customer requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to pass the Certified Solution Architect, Associate exam within 6 months of employment.
  • The ability to deal with ambiguity and a changing environment, as well as a rapid work pace.
  • The ability to work with both technical and non-technical innovators.
  • Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working across cross-functional teams to deliver complex IT solutions.
