Job Description:

The Senior Mortgage Administration Clerk is responsible for providing mortgage processing and administrative support within the Central Mortgage Unit. To do so, the incumbent will ensure that daily and periodic administrative functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, the incumbent provides customer service in a fashion consistent with the One Team One Goal values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing incoming requests from supported units, or solicitors to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy and procedure
  • Ensuring the identification and correction of errors and policy non-compliance
  • Perform related sundry duties as assigned
  • Preparing and/or checking reports or returns as assigned
  • Supporting the implementation of required changes (e.g. policy, process, systems)
  • Accurately processing daily assigned functions which may include product setup, instructing solicitors, reviewing security documentation, processing amendments, preparing discharge documents, paying property tax bills and completing mortgage exception processing requests
  • Preparing and responding to supported units or solicitor correspondence and requests
  • Preparing and or verifying the accuracy of entries/transactions or documentation within defined authorities
  • Accurately updating information and data on various systems, applications and databases
  • Assisting with the training and cross-training of team members
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the systems, mortgage products, policies, procedures and processes
  • Provide administrative and processing support by:
  • Conducting investigations to resolve exception situations or completing complex adjustment or correction transactions

Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the of bank systems and stand alone systems used by the CMU (i.e. ED, AS400, CIS, MIMS, TLS/MBS, Workflow)
  • Working knowledge of PC skills using common software tools to access and communicate within the bank (Microsoft Access/Word/Excel & Lotus Notes)
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures regarding mortgage products, programs and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of bank regulations, policies, procedures and operations
  • Thorough knowledge of OneTeamOneGoal values and Complaint Resolution Standards and Procedures
